How To Protect Lace Closure or Frontal Weave

Lace frontal and lace closure are becoming more and more popular among African American women. The closure may be a little expensive for that they are 100% hand tied lace and human hair. If you wear lace closure, it’s important to take care of it well. Now, we’ll share some of the most effective ways to maintain your lace closure, which includes three part, free part closure and middle part closure.

To brush or comb gently

When you comb your hair, gently do it. If you use a paddle brush or a wide-toothed comb, the effect will be better. Don’t forget to brush your hair from top to bottom. When you comb your hair, you can leave your hair in the roots to avoid tension.

To avoid shedding

Gentle shedding is normal, but your lace closure should not come out again, so your own hair will; Do not have direct contact with hair gel, alcohol, etc. These products can damage hair and cause excessive loss of hair.

Get proper hair care products

As mentioned earlier, we can’t say it’s enough – use appropriate hair care products. It is prohibited to put garbage on the shelves of local drugstores. Often, they are filled with toxins and chemicals that can ruin your frontal weave, even before you get used to your new do. Always use sulfur free hair conditioner that contains safe and active ingredients to make your hair look perfect, lush and hydrated.

Protect as sleep

When you sleep with lace closure or frontal, always braid your hair, or at least put it in a ponytail, so it won’t get tangled up in your sleep. The best way to do this is to surround your head with a scarf or hair cover while you sleep. This will prevent your lace from shedding. If you’re wearing frontal weave, you must follow these sleeping habits to avoid damaging your hair.

Protect when swimming

Remember that chlorine and salt water can damage your hair every time you wear a swim cap or wash your lace closure. Don’t let your hair lace stay in chlorine or salt water, because it destroys the virgin hair that is irreversibly closing the cell. The result of the resealable seal is located on the inside of the lace closing cap. After each cleaning, a few knot sealing machines are used. This will strengthen hair knots and protect your lace closure from excessive shedding.

In addition, you should:

  1. Regular condition and wash maintenance.
  2. Comb your hair small before washing your hair. Do not rub or twist your hair.
  3. Add a mild shampoo in cold water and comb your hair to clean. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Dry the excess water with a towel and let the hair dry naturally. Don’t be exposed to the sun.
  5. Gently comb the curls with your fingers. Don’t brush.
  6. Comb your straight weave hair downward. Work the same way up to the root.
  7. Some items should not be brushed. If in doubt, please consult your stylist.
  8. If the general direction of care is not correct, hair can be tangled.

Kindly Remind

  1. Don’t let your lace closure or frontal weave over 160 degrees Celsius because it will damage your hair. The heat will scorch the hair.
  2.  Don’t brush your closure when it’s wet. It dislodged the hair.
  1. Do not use any type of curling irons, and hot rollers for other modes of closure.
  2. Don’t use products designed for ordinary natural hair. You should use a wig shampoo, closure air conditioner, wig brush or special lace closure comb.
